Staying...

I shouldn’t still be here in Indonesia.

It’s been eight years on the same narrow street on the same tiny island. And I just can’t believe it.

That’s twice as long as I’ve ever lived anywhere in my whole life.

Find out more at MAF's blog site where I'm guest posting today.

  1. Hi Rebecca! I recently found your blog and your latest post struck a chord. I know the feeling of move after move, feeling like (and living like) each home is temporary. I am still reluctant to hang pictures or decorate for thought of one more thing to pack/unpack. But this is something I am trying to overcome, to love where I am at and not plan/dwell on the "what next." I am learning to love staying, even if it means a foreign land far from family. I am comforted by knowing this sense of temporary and yearning can only be satisfied completely when we join the Lord in our true permanent home. Thank you for an uplifting blog. God Bless.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind comment! It's great to hear from you! I totally agree on the "true permanent home" thought, and what a great home that will be...looking forward to it!
